Our July FAM trip was held at the fabulous Vineyard Hotel and properties within the group, located less than an hour away from central London on a direct train.
The hotel prides itself on excellent food., wine and service – what is not to love?! So much so everyone arrived slightly ahead of the official start of the FAM to enjoy the spa facilities and to make the most of the sun that made an appearance for our stay.
The hotel is a fantastic option for c-suite board meetings, offsite events or smaller conferences. With five event spaces there is an option for your smaller private events to your larger events for up to 160 people. All the spaces benefit from natural day light, and excellent amenities. As well as the event spaces, there is a fabulous wine tasting room which is a must to incorporate into your events as well as a brilliant pop up restaurant in the grounds that can be hired exclusively for either a dinner or drinks reception. A full exclusive hire of the hotel is a perfect option for full flexibility to enable delegates to stay onsite.
The bedrooms are all stunning and some have direct access to the gardens. They are all bright, modern with a classic touch of luxury and ample room for delegates to work from if required.
We started the FAM with a full showcase of the event spaces and experienced first hand the wine tasting room. The wine tasting is an excellent option for smaller groups where you can try a number of the outstanding wines, you could even provide a theme for the tasting. The restaurant also offers a wine pairing menu to continue the tasting. There are non-alcoholic options available to ensure the event is fully inclusive.
After a wine tasting, including a blind tasting which was a really interesting and unique way to get groups talking, we enjoyed an outstanding dinner in the restaurant. The food was incredible. If your delegates love food and wine this hotel is a must to hold an event at.
Following a restful night’s sleep, we explored the Post which is a short drive away from the hotel. This modern and contemporary event space can accommodate up to 150 delegates. The space provides an excellent opportunity to hold either a conference here or if you are holding an offsite at the Vineyard Hotel, this would be a perfect option for a drinks reception or dinner one night. The Post is simply stunning .
Also with the hotel’s group is Donnington Valley which is a short drive from both properties above. If you require additional bedrooms in addition to the ones at the Vineyard Hotel, Donnington Valley provides additional accommodation. It is also a great option if you needed a venue for up to 149 people with breakout room options. As well as the event spaces, there are lovely grounds to hold team building events, an outdoor restaurant for networking opportunities and also a golf course to include as an incentive.
The group really does have ample opportunities to hold events across their three properties providing options for events of all sizes and requirements. Lots of options to hold multiple events in different spaces for a memorable offsite are within the possibilities.
