London Transport Museum (February 2023)

The London Transport Museum is likely to bring back many childhood memories of visiting with school or family during the school holidays. We revisited this childhood memory with our members for a breakfast networking event; and the museum is perfect for grown up memories at an event as well as our childhood memories.

Located in the heart of Covent Garden and close to many transport links (it is the transport museum after all…), the museum is able to cater for intimate events or larger celebration events. The Galleries transport you through the ages with the recognisable red Routemaster, original tube carriages and interactive opportunities to become a driver on the Elizabeth line. The Galleries can host a variety of events from stunning dinners; drinks reception; product launches or a fabulous Christmas party. With a capacity for up to 150 people for dining – although smaller numbers look just as a fabulous – and 400 for a standing reception there are a variety of options available.

If you are looking to hold a conference followed by a dinner or drinks reception within one convenient space; the museum is a great option. The Cubic Theatre, with in-built AV equipment, can hold up to 121 delegates with an adjacent networking space. We would recommend holding the conference in the afternoon which would enable the museum to be transformed once the doors close so your guests can finish the conference and walk straight to the drinks reception/dinner within the Galleries. If you are looking for a smaller room for a board room meeting, this can be accommodated as well within the board room space.

For smaller more informal events, the Canteen would be perfect. It is overlooking the heart of Covent Garden and flooded with lots of natural daylight or twinkly lights in the evening. The area features decommissioned furniture from the London Underground providing a unique setting for a dinner or drinks for a maximum of 50 seated and 60 standing.

We loved exploring the London Transport Museum and look forward to holding either breakfast or evening events at this unique and creative venue. If you would like an introduce to the venue team please reach out.
