There are a few hotels that surprise us event professionals but the Hilton London Metropole certainly did! The hotel has had a complete refurbishment which was completed in May 2022 and it looks fabulous!
We kicked off the evening with welcome drinks in the Bow Bar, had a treasure hunt to explore the many event spaces which also showcase the hotel’s sustainability approach and finished with a delicious dinner.
The hotel is well located especially now with the Elizabeth line providing quick access from across town and Heathrow airport. The hotel also has capacity for up to 150 cars in their car park in case you require transportation for delegates. And there are 1,100 bedrooms including 500 being of the same category level so your accommodation options are covered here.
The hotel has 35 event spaces providing options for everyone to hold an event here. We explored the following spaces:
⁃ the Bow Bar which celebrates the East of London. The bar makes it owns gin as well as working with local London distilleries. The space is perfect for up to 80 people for a drinks reception. Our welcome cocktails showcasing sustainability were delicious!
⁃ Tyburn Market gives off vibes of Covent Garden. The cafe is a great spot for working or informal meetings.
⁃ There are two ballrooms – Richmond Suite can host up to 1,350 delegates, can be split into six smaller rooms providing lots of flexibility, has its own foyer and excellent AV – they also allow you to bring in your preferred supplier.
⁃ There are options for hybrid meetings with three dedicated meeting rooms with all the equipment you need.
⁃ Above the Bow Bar there is a mezzanine level providing a great space for a drinks area where you want the atmosphere of the bar without being in it.
Our members enjoyed an outstanding dinner – they’ve not stopped talking about it particularly the roasted cauliflower and crème brûlée – in the Tyburn Kitchen. The restaurant celebrates food sourced from within 100 miles of the hotel.
