The Grand Eastbourne FAM (October 2022)

We love that the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne, is known as “The White Palace”; it certainly feels palatial when you arrive. Its grand entrance certainly commands attention. With its breathtaking views of the sea, it is the perfect location for a corporate offsite or retreat and was the location for our second October Fam this year.

Situated just a short train ride from central London in Eastbourne, The Grand Eastbourne (part of the Elite Group) has been a firm favourite of corporates for years. It’s the only 5-star luxury resort in an English seaside town, and its meeting and event spaces (along with a vast lawn area for team-building activities) make it an excellent choice for an event.

Our fam was held on a Sunday afternoon; our members arrived by 2.00 pm to check in to their rooms before a lovely afternoon tea with Gillian Hackett (Group Sales Manager, Elite Hotels), our host for the fam. Over the tea, we caught up with our hosts, the property’s history, and, well, on life generally. Next was a site visit of all the meeting & event spaces and the stunning bedrooms.

The hotel has 17 fully equipped meeting and event spaces that can accommodate all different events for up to 350 people. You can find all the room capacities here.

Dinner was held in the hotel’s most stunning private dining space, which looked over the main meeting space, and it felt like such a privilege to be dining here. The menu was outstanding, and we loved it. When we hold our fam’s on a Sunday, we feel our members are less inclined to head to the bar for that last drink when it is Monday the next day, so we all headed back to our rooms for a great night’s sleep, ready for Monday.
The next day, some members took the opportunity to work from the hotel, whilst a few of us drove home after breakfast.

We loved our fam at The Grand Eastbourne; if you think this property may work for one of your events, please drop us a line, and we will be sure to connect you to the team.
