Discovering Morocco for your corporate events

Now I have been to Marrakech many times for vacations, but (so far) I had never thought of this beautiful city as a corporate event destination, and I have no idea why? Just over a 3.5-hour flight from London and multiple airline options offering daily flights, it’s a no-brainer.

Since 1981, Unitours Maroc have been the go-to DMC in Marrakech. They are one of the oldest Destination and Event Management Companies in Marrakech and were previously awarded the title of ‘Best Travel Agency’ by the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism. They provide innovative solutions that meet your event brief with a lens on working to your budget and focusing on the notion that not every organisation is the same. They offer briefs tailored to your organisation, and their events team prides itself on their attention to detail and originality when working with you without your events.

As well as an abundance of hotels, Marrakech offers a variety of conference facilities. The main auditorium at the Palais Des Congrès, seats up to 1489 and is directly connected to the Movenpick Mansour Eddahbi Hotel and its 500 rooms and suites. Another option is The Centre de Conférence International de la Palmeraie (CCIP), next to Palmeraie Palace and neighbouring Hotel du Golf, with a total of 573 rooms and suites, in the Palm Grove of Marrakech. There are so many options, and you can find a complete list here.

An event agenda for a conference or incentive could look as follows;

DAY 1

Meet and greet at Marrakech airport. Transfer to your chosen hotel where (as the Moroccan tradition of hospitality requires)- a tasteful mint tea will be served—dinner at the hotel or off-site in one of the best restaurants in the Red City.

DAY 2

After breakfast, take a cultural and historical guided tour of Marrakech, including monuments or take part in a fun orientation game (team building) wandering through the vibrant streets of the Medina and its colourful souks.

Lunch near Morocco’s cultural heritage Jamaa El Fna, then free time to allow your guests to be transported by their senses and fully enjoy the magic of the souks and of the square before returning to relax at your hotel.

You can’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the best of Moroccan gastronomy in a 1One Thousand and One Nights palace. And for a complete picture, on the way to the palace, guests can enjoy the sound of the horse’s hoofs beating the asphalt as horse-drawn carriages take them there.

DAY 3

Depart after breakfast for the best day trip to discover and explore the deep Berber country and enjoy the breathtaking sceneries of valleys, villages and open landscapes.

Guests will be in Jeeps with drivers, as transportation through Berber villages, off the road and enjoying the country’s hidden valleys and sampling a cup of Mint tea with a Berber family; visiting their traditional Berber house, country markets where farmers are marketing their crops and a Berber lunch in a local restaurant are the highlights of this amazing day trip. Optional Berber Games are offered as a Team Building activity.

A Berber private dinner in the Palm Grove will be utterly and authentically Moroccan, with Mechoui, Royal Couscous, a vibrant folklore show and Fantasia; a traditional horse race. Or a fusion cuisine (Moroccan / Asian) in the best lounge atmosphere of a restaurant with a refined, oriental decoration and belly dance show, with the possible continuation of the evening in a nightclub for daring delegates, is a perfect way to finish on a high note.

DAY 4

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure before transfer to the airport for departure.

What an agenda!
