IMEX 2022 with Destinations Unlimited (May 2022)

IMEX Frankfurt was back after a three-year wait, and it was most certainly worth the wait. As an #eventprofs, it was everything to be able to meet up with old contacts and new and what a fantastic opportunity we were able to give to our members as hosted buyers this year.

Walking into the Messe Frankfurt (one of the oldest active trade fairgrounds globally) with our host whilst attending IMEX (Nikki Buse, Destinations Unlimited), there was such a rush of adrenaline. You were initially overcome with awe just seeing all those exhibitors in one place again. The exhibition stands were grand, the visuals overwhelming, and as soon as you took that first step, you ran into someone you hadn’t seen for years. That networking, those relationships we hold so close to us, we’re again back in full swing and “I’ll add you to LinkedIn” conversations were once again right back where they should be. So many of us had come to the show to capture those in-person connections, something that doesn’t work virtually.

We spent three full days at the show, and a highlight was seeing these stands for sure. Our partnership with Destinations Unlimited means we want to continue building solid relationships with DU’s DMCs to ensure we provide the best support and recommendations to our members.

Some of the DMC’s were caught up with whilst there were:

Metropolis (Paris)

Our chat with Paola of Metropolis DMC

DT Croatia (Croatia)

Mazurkas (Poland)

Our chat with Marta of Mazurkas

Some of the other amazing DMC’s we caught up:

Wallace Group (Ireland)

Eshet Incentives (Israel)

Talas Montenegro

EC Malta

Gulf Circle Tours (Middle East)

AIM Group (Budapest)

Karma House (Isreal)

CPO Hanser (Germany)

Idea Nordic (Denmark)

Canadian Tours

We loved our time at IMEX and can’t wait to return next year, and for now, it’s time to start building relationships with and start working with all of these excellent DMC’s!
