Coworth Park FAM (November 2019)

Coworth Park, part of the prestigious Dorchester collection group of properties was the location for our final FAM for 2019 and what a way to end an epic year.

Coworth Park leaves an impression on you which pretty much starts from the moment you turn into the driveway. The idyllic tree-lined driveway set the scene for what was a truly wonderful FAM with, as usual, a wonderful bunch of people.

Our event commenced with check-in in the lovely relaxed reception area before being shown to our rooms. The bedrooms at Coworth are something special, with 12 categories from stable superior to the Mansion House Superior Suite which is a lot and each individually finished to a high standard. You then have The Dower House which is a townhouse, self -contained with three en-suite bedrooms. Every one of our rooms was perfect and on this FAM, we gave our group a whole two hours of leisure time to enjoy them and the rather decadent champagne and chocolate that greeted us on arrival – just one of the many touches throughout our fam that was oh so special.

After checking out our rooms it was off for an activity and being on the approach to Christmas, I can’t think of a better idea that Coworth could have had for us. Christmas Wreath making (with mulled wine, champagne and mince pies). It was the dream and lead by a fabulous florist from Lavender Green we had such a great time. Some of our wreaths were slightly better than the others (Rachael and Diego) as opposed to mine that looked like it has been made by a two-year-old but they all looked so good and are all proudly hanging on doors all over the UK.

After our activity, it was back to our rooms for that much-needed leisure time where a few of us went to sample the fabulous spa which is just that, fabulous. The spa is something of an icon at Coworth Park and we felt privileged to be able to enjoy it. The spa uses products hailing from Scotland’s remote Hebridean islands, ishga products and their treatments have won rave reviews. I was a bit late to book in or else I would have enjoyed a facial (don’t worry I will go back).

Up next was a drinks reception in the stunning Drawing Room which I have personally used for any event, followed by dinner in Restaurant Coworth Park. Chef Adam Smith is the creative force in the Coworth Park kitchen and we were fortunate enough to meet him and eat his famed food that has earned a Michelin star for the second year in a row. Dinks promptly followed dinner, back in the bar before heading off to bed for a lovely lay in before a fabulous group breakfast in The Barn and our site visit.

As it was late November (and essentially dark at 3.00 pm) we decided to host our site visit the next day to make the most of the light and man are we glad we did. The property and its meeting spaces (equally in part with the grounds) are stunning – the rolling Surrey hills, the colours of the leaves were magnificent. You can read all about the meeting and events spaces here. The Oak Room was my absolute favourite and I haven’t stopped thinking about what events I can place there.

We loved Coworth Park, we had wonderful hosts in Diego and Nicola and can’t wait to go back. For further information please reach out to us and we will connect you with our lovely hosts.  Coworth really is perfect for a range of corporate events and we all came away super inspired.
