The Brewery (January 2017)

We held our first event of 2017 at The Brewery truly a historic building which opened its doors over 250 years ago as a Brewery!

The Brewery is located in a great spot in the middle of a City and is super versatile being able to accommodate dinners, drinks receptions, conferences, exhibitions and of course summer and Christmas parties.

There are 6 spaces in total over 3 floors for up to 1,800 people. The spaces work really well for large delegate numbers as networking and exhibition spaces flow nicely so no walking long distances in those heels! The venue can hold up to 6 events at a time but our hosts assured us that it all works seamlessly.

The venue has a lovely courtyard which is transformed in the summer with themed marquees making the space a perfect outdoor BBQ area for summer parties. A few of us have held summer events here and certainly recommend! Christmas parties are big here as well with lots of theming and entertainment. Bookings are now being taken for this year.

The venue has in-house caterers (more to follow on the amazing food) and in-house AV company which is great as they know the venue inside out. The team can also recommend other suppliers to help dress the room. They’ve literally turned the spaces into most set ups/themes including turning the Sugar Rooms (where we had our networking drinks) into a British diner!

Onto the food…lots of comments of “wow”, “didn’t expect this high level of standard and quality of in-house caterers”...as you can tell the food was delicious! Very innovative, creative and lovely fresh flavours. The menus are seasonal and this was reflected in the quality of the food. Tom Gore is the Executive Chef and has a great team working with him. There is a chefs table within the kitchen where tastings for large events take place.

We had a great bartender who showed off his mixologist skills by making chocolate orange espresso martinis!

A great venue to kick off the 2017 EventProfsLive event season!
