The Landmark – (February 2016)

Breakfast events have always been my preference, I’m an early bird! Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and judging by the reaction we had from our first breakfast event for the year last Friday at the Landmark, it is now a firm favourite for a lot of our members too.

Despite major tube delays, we had eight members attend our networking breakfast hosted by the fabulous Landmark Hotel in their Tower Suite. The Tower Suite is situated on the fifth floor of the hotel accommodating up to 36 for a sit down lunch or dinner.  The views over the stunning winter garden and upwards towards The Landmark London’s original clock tower are just breath taking. . The room is so light and airy and it just feels so elegant.

Our event kicked off at 8.00 am were on arrival we were offered I kid you not, 6 different types of juices. Having had a few the night before I went straight for the Virgin Bloody Mary which was lovely.  Links of London were also on hand throughout the morning showcasing their amazing corporate gift options with some really great pieces. It’s so boring sending wine as a thank you gift so I felt quite inspired seeing all the different things I could be sending!

Once the majority of our guests had arrived, we were split into two teams and embarked on a treasure hunt!! The hunt lead us around the different meeting and event spaces in the hotel where we were tasked with finding the hotel’s original gentleman’s smoking room and coming up with a new name for the Grand Ballroom.  A few of us enlisted the help of the very knowledgeable concierge to help us out,  all the while Tweeting our responses with the hashtag #LandmarkLondon.

The Landmark has so many event spaces ranging from the Grand Ballroom that can accommodate 750 reception to the Gazebo that can hold 200 (reception).  You can see the full list of meetings spaces, dimensions and capacities here.

“I absolutely loved the treasure hunt, very original and more importantly very memorable.  A completely different experience to what you normally get at other venue showcases” Jade (Eventprofslive member)

As usual at our events there was plenty of discussion and having been their first event for two new members, it was great to get to know new them, give out bizzo cards (as my husband likes to call them) and share our combined knowledge of the industry. We wrapped up around 9.30 am after announcing the winners of our treasure hunt with The Landmark & Links of London very generously providing amazing prizes for the winners!  We were very spoilt.
