Grosvenor House was our lovely host for Tuesday nights Eventprofslive networking event and we are still tweeting about the cocktails!
On Tuesday, 12 of our members met in the red bar at Grosvenor House for champagne before a tour of the hotel. If you have never been to the red bar, you’re missing out. The bar overlooks Hyde Park and is a fab space for a private drinks reception or even just a drink with your colleagues after work. The fabulous Fabio, gave us a brief cocktail masterclass on some of the drinks he mixes up and had all the ladies oohing and ahhing over his “the cow that jumped over the moon” cocktail, named after his daughters very first book. Fabio also went through the different options available to host cocktail making in the bar as an event and the different themeing options available.
Our networking group loves a site visit so we then had our tour of hotel seeing two types of bedrooms which were very elegant with 5 star amenities throughout. You can even have your guests use their mobiles to check in!
After the bedrooms and most important to us, we saw the meeting spaces and that all important private dining room. The hotel has 31 meeting rooms, with the biggest the Great Ballroom. The Ballroom is stunning with huge chandeliers and has a capacity to hold 1000 (reception) and 1300 (theatre style). All of the meeting rooms sit on one floor, have natural daylight, and are all referred to alphabetically, which makes it ever so easy for us event managers. With the amount of bedrooms available, this hotel would be superb for a large scale conference with everything you need in one hotel. In terms of private dining options, the private dining room at JW Steakhouse is the perfect place for an intimate gathering for up to 12 guests. You can see all the room capacities here.
After our tour, we then stayed in the Red Bar for some amazing canapés and signature cocktails whilst chatting everything events related. It’s not all events though, we had a great conversation about our Nutribullets and some recipes I have since tried out along with the need to register for IMEX in Vegas this year!
Our group is for all things events and we always have a great time. If you’re an event manager (in any capacity) and want to join drop us an email.
