The NED London is situated in the heart of the city of London which makes it the perfect location for a corporate event.
The hotel is situated in a former bank and screams 1920s glitz and glamour from the moment you enter the former banking hall – this is where we started our FAM.
There are seven restaurants and three bars located within the impressive former banking hall. From an events perspective, three are areas within this space that can be hired for intimate group drinks, private dining or a standing reception for up to 900 people. Within this space, there are also opportunities to create private check-in areas for group arrivals.
We experienced the NED Feast in Millie’s which is an event in itself! Every Sunday, guests can enjoy unlimited lobster, oysters, traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings and a dessert station to satisfy the sweetish tooth. This was an excellent way to catch up with our members, get to know our hosts and experience the magic of the NED whilst learning more about the opportunities for events.
We walked off the feast by exploring the event spaces. There are six event spaces and two terraces available on a dedicated event floor. The floor can be hired exclusively providing you with opportunities for a large event with breakout rooms. There are a variety of spaces that can hold 4 – 200 people. The largest space being the Tapestry Room which provides the perfect setting for a content event, dinner or a glam drinks reception. There are four smaller rooms perfect for breakout rooms, board meetings or private dining along with the Salon which is the second largest space. There is also the Princess Dome on a separate floor that can be hired for drinks for up to 50 people with a fabulous terrace that is a hidden gem!
The hotel has 250 bedrooms ranging from cosy rooms to luxury suites. Each room has lots of charm and character providing the perfect spot for your delegates to relax or work from. When staying guests get access to the spa and gym. There are opportunities to hold private gym classes for your delegates to incorporate a wellness element into your event.
Being in a former bank, the vault is an impressive feature and it is an even more impressive space when the doors are unlocked and you enter. The opportunities for a unique and VIP drinks reception are within these walls of the vault. The space is available to hire on certain evenings.
After exploring the hotel’s event spaces, we all enjoyed some relaxation time either in our rooms, the gym or the spa. You feel a million miles away relaxing in these spaces from the hustle and bustle of the banking hall. The hotel really does have something for everyone.
All glammed up after relaxing, we met in one of the bars for a cocktail before we jumped on the Tube to head back to the 00s! We danced and sang the night away at the Usher concert in the NED Club’s box at the O2. Our members loved it! What a night and what a way to end a weekend with the NED!
We loved our 24 hours at this hotel and caught up the following morning over breakfast in one of the private dining rooms on the event floor to re-live the following day.
