Suggested itinerary
DAY 1
Personally welcomed to Dublin, your group will quickly exit the airport and depart with a guide to the heart of the city. As their bags go by separate transfer to be room dropped, they will stop in a typical pub for a welcome drink where a musician or two may wander in!
Later in the evening, get into the mood with a dinner at a fine-dining restaurant and traditional entertainment in the famous Abbey Tavern.
…. and the night is still young!
DAY 2
Full breakfast at leisure. Depart south to Co. Wicklow and into the rolling hills and farmlands. As something special, the groups driver surprisingly stops to pick up a hitchhiking farmer along the way. Initially sitting quietly, he soon warms up the environment and breaks into song and mouth organ music to everyone’s enjoyment. Calling for his “stop” and thanking everybody, he invites (with persuasion) everybody to his farmhouse for a cup of tea or a drop of the hard stuff. Everybody follows into the farmyard to find a lavish buffet set up, country band, farm games and challenges. Enjoy lunch and entertainment in the countryside.
Return to Dublin late afternoon to rest and relax in their hotel.
Over dinner that evening, the prizes are distributed from the Farmyard Challenge.
DAY 3
Breakfast at leisure.
Free morning to stop and stroll, then it’s off to a local race track for a fine private lunch. Here the DMC will introduce the group to horse racing, and an expert tipster will mark their cards.
The group can test their judgement on the betting vouchers given and then bravely move on to their own cash (if they want)!
Enjoy the afternoons racing and the freedom to move throughout the venue, always having their private suite to return to for afternoon tea and the bar.
Gala farewell that evening in Malahide Castle, only 20 km from the city and reserved exclusively for the group. Tour the castle, excellent dinner, wines and appropriate entertainment; it is a great opportunity to sing a few songs themselves too!
DAY 4
Breakfast at leisure. Free time for last-minute shopping before transfer with assistance to the airport.
Sightseeing
The sightseeing options in Dublin are unparalleled – most of us have visited this fantastic city for leisure but for events, well the options for sightseeing as part of your itinerary are pretty unique:
Panoramic 2-hour city tour covering the main features of Dublin, including the Old Jameson Distillery with appropriate tasting.
Antiques tour on foot, best suited to groups of 10/15 pax, accompanied by an expert local guide.
Literary Pub Crawl
What could be more synonymous with Dublin than literature and pubs? Combine them both in a walking tour, fun and informal. The tour takes about 3 hours and is best suited to 15/20 persons or less.
Treasure Hunt by Bike
Great fun for 10-60 persons, simple but testing clues. Bikes will be delivered to your hotel and dropped off at a pub for lunch, where a coach will meet you for a return transfer.
Wicklow is within 1 hours drive from Dublin city centre; discover the beautiful countryside and mountains of Wicklow – known as the Garden of Ireland.
The Guinness Storehouse
Discover what goes into making a pint of GUINNESS – the ingredients, the brewing process, the time, the craft and the passion. See how GUINNESS has travelled to 150 countries and how the famous brew has been advertised over the years. The journey will end on the roof of Gravity bar with a perfect pint and the best view in Dublin.
