We at Eventprofslive like to think out of the box regarding the types of hotels, venues and event spaces we use for our corporate events. We love innovation, and we love to be able to allow our members to see and experience different options. With that view, we were delighted to hold our latest fam at Center Parcs Woburn Forest.
We held our fam on a Friday afternoon. We love this time slot as it allows our members to do half a day in the office (or from home #yahoo) before heading off. We all arrived for a 2.00 pm kickoff before a short site visit of all the meeting and event spaces at Woburn Forest, and there are a lot. Aptly named “the venue”, the rooms range in size with the ability to host events from 10 to 600 people. The venue’s event spaces can be super flexible and can be broken down in smaller breakouts or, one large event space, and you can find out all about them here
After the site visit and a full walk around the facility (you can see just how vast it is by watching the video above), it was time to check into our lodges and have a little downtime to explore. Each lodge was fully equipped with its kitchen and our own sauna, and we each had our bedroom and ensuite. We are a pretty close bunch at Eventprofslive, and we all enjoyed sitting back in our rooms and getting to know each other that little bit more. A couple of the group went exploring, and some of us just took the time to use their saunas. It was such a lovely treat.
Next was dinner in the onsite fine-dining Indian restaurant, followed by a few cocktails in the bar before bed. We wanted to ensure we got up nice and early to use our time the next day to the max.
Center Parcs has many activity options for your delegates to suit many different groups. There was so much from young associate level to Partner or board level. We were lucky enough to try out archery, and we took the paddle boats out for a spin—so much fun.
After activities, a couple of us stayed by to use the pool facilities, which was also excellent.
There is so much at Center Parcs for your groups, and we’ve also included a link to all the info you need below. If you would like further information or a proposal for your upcoming events, drop us a line here. A huge thank you to Cat Bird and her team for hosting us as well!
