We held our first event with London & Partners Convention Bureau exploring what the area of Mayfair has to offer us #eventprofs for events! During our FAM, we realised that this area has a lot to offer and can provide lots of options for innovative, creative and unique events.
The Mayfair Townhouse: We started off the best way possible with a champagne breakfast at the stunning Mayfair Townhouse which is in the heart of Mayfair. The hotel has a variety of gorgeous bedrooms including suites that can be used for smaller meetings, filming, interviews etc; a semi-private dining area where we had breakfast, a smaller meeting room and a gorgeous bar for drinks receptions. The hotel is perfect for c-suite board meetings and for accommodation requirements.
Scandals of Mayfair; After breakfast, we enjoyed a short walk in the sun through the park with a Blue Badge Guide learning all about the scandals of Mayfair! It is a great way to entertain your guests whilst transporting them between venues that are a short distance from each other.
Spencer House: The gorgeous Spencer House was a venue that wowed our guests and it truly is a stunning 18th century townhouse that we learnt about on our walking tour. The house is an amazing venue for drinks receptions, dinners, celebrations, lunches and meetings. The venue can hold up to 120 for lunch/dinner and 450 for drinks receptions. As well as stunning rooms within the house, there is also a lovely terrace overlooking Green Park. It is a short walk from the Mayfair Townhouse, providing a great opportunity to partner with both venues.
The Outernet: We love introducing our members to venues that either are hot off the press or not even open yet. We had a hard hat visit to the Outernet to have a sneak peak preview of what this incredible neighbourhood is going to bring to the Denmark Street area. The Outernet is going to be an immersive entertainment district, there will be ample opportunities for away days, awards evenings, product launches, parties etc within an immersive and unique multi-sensory environment for between 200 – 2,000 attendees. As well as the event spaces, which will bring live music back to Denmark Street, there will be restaurants and other retail spaces. The neighbourhood starts to launch from August 2022.
Chateau Denmark: Chateau Denmark is a hotel with a difference!!! 55 rooms and apartments are across a main hotel and various townhouses on Denmark Street – a street where where the Sex Pistols once lived, the Stones recorded and Bowie and Hendrix all hung out – what a cool place!!! For music fans this is a must place to stay – a music history tour would be fascinating. A great hotel to combine with any events at the Outernet.
The Mandrake: If you are looking for a boujee hotel that has a variety of options this is one to look at especially as it can be hired exclusively. The hotel has 32 luxurious bedrooms which all fit within the lifestyle brand, the interiors are gorgeous. The terrace provides a great option for al fresco events, we enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace – the food was brilliant, we all can’t stop talking about the variety of options especially the yellowtail sashimi and the tomato salad! If indoor events are more your thing, the bar can hired for drinks receptions and there is a smaller private area at the back for meetings, smaller groups for drinks etc. The restaurant provides a great space for a dinner, lunch, product launch or drinks reception. And the screening room in the basement is a spot to remember for any content events; you can then utilise the other spaces for networking.
The London Edition: The London Edition is still as glam and the place to be as it was when it opened nearly 10 years ago! We started with a cocktail masterclass in the Punch Room. The masterclass is super fun, informative and interactive. They can tailor to your requirements and of course drinkers and non-drinkers are all catered for. The Punch Room can be hired exclusively for drinks receptions, meetings, a breakout space or even VIP check-in. The hotel has a meeting room that is perfect for board room meetings and has an adjacent space that overlooks the main area of the hotel, a great place for pre-dinner drinks, networking breaks soaking up the atmosphere of the hotel but in a private area. There is also the Den for all the fun – parties, drinks, product launches are all the type of events that would work well here. An in-built bar, AV already in place and an exclusive area it can add the wow factor. The hotel’s penthouse is a gem for a unique meeting or intimate drinks reception with a fabulous terrace overlooking the West End. We finished our brilliant day exploring the area with dinner in Berners Tavern. The restaurant can be hired exclusively for dinner or a drinks reception. There is also a private dining room for those special events. The food is outstanding, impeccable service and a beautiful setting.
We told you the area had a lot to offer us #eventprofs….
A big thank you also to Make Events, they provided our attendees with a FAM trip survival kit – think coffee, hydration cups, snacks and more!
