The Londoner (november 2021)

The Londoner – a super boutique hotel – has only been open for two months but it has made quite an impression already on #eventprofs and many more!

Located in the heart of Leicester Square, a short walk from Covent Garden, China Town, Regent Street, and many other London hotspots it really does have a super location.

The super boutique hotel is family-owned and part of the Edwardian group so they truly know what people are looking for.

As you enter you are greeted with live music from The Stage which is the main bar – a champagne bar no less – that is stunning, think of rose golds, soft pinks, and neutrals.  On this floor, there is also Whitcombs, one of the restaurants which offers Mediterranean food, the lobster pasta is to die for here!

The event spaces here are fabulous with not one, not two but three floors dedicated to events. Each floor could have an individual event with its own dedicated lift, kitchen, bar, and sound system or you could have an incredible event held across all three floors. More on the spaces can be found here

The Green Room would work really well for either a drinks reception, a smaller conference with one half for the plenary and one half for the networking elements, or even a dinner with again space for pre and post drinks

The Ballroom can host up to 800 standing, over 700 theatre, or 600 seated – less if you have a stage and dance floor.   The production here is amazing, it is an event professionals’ dream as it can all be managed in-house with limited production to be installed depending upon your requirements.

The Gallery has a number of separate meeting rooms but equally would work well all opened up for a drinks reception taking in the artwork around the space.  This space also leads onto the private entrance for the cinema – Odeon Luxe.

The bedrooms are just fabulous from the amenities, the flawless design, and the small touches. The suites are incredible and again another option for a smaller drinks reception.

If you are staying in this super boutique hotel you will get access to the Retreat a beautiful and relaxing spa area that includes treatment rooms and a gym.  Access is also granted to the Residences which is a private bar for residents allowing you to relax, enjoy drinks and snacks, work or play board games. There is also an exclusive Whiskey Room for residents.

8 at the Londoner is a Japanese restaurant that has a rooftop bar as well, it is a gorgeous space and can be hired exclusively when the restaurant is not open.  There is also a pub – Joshua’s – with a great British pub vibe that has live music on certain evenings.

We had a brilliant evening at the Londoner with a showcase of the event spaces followed by lots of networking over champagne and delicious small plates in the Stage.  Our members that attended were really impressed with the event options here but also for personal use. We also loved how the hotel was getting ready for Christmas – it certainly got us in the Christmas mood.

We could go on and on about why this is a super boutique hotel but the best thing you can do is experience it for yourself.  Reach out to Jason Kitt and Donna Kay to arrange a site visit.
