We recently explored the original independent boutique hotel in London – One Aldwych – which is a gem of a hotel located in the heart of Covent Garden. The hotel is not only impressive from its location but also from the moment you walk through the door with the beautiful Lobby Bar which is a perfect spot for drinks which is exactly where we started the evening with champagne whilst we all caught up with each other.
With this being our second event since the return of in-person we are still getting goosebumps hearing the excitement and conversations between our members whilst exploring a fabulous venue again!!! After our warm welcome, we went off to explore the hotel including the five event spaces; the beautifully designed bedrooms and suites; the two restaurants; and the wellness area – we told you it was a gem of a hotel!!!
The hotel has the capacity for a standing reception for up to 150 guests in the Eneko restaurant but equally can cater for your more intimate events within the smaller spaces within the main hotel perfect for private dining; smaller drinks receptions; board meetings etc. As well as your traditional spaces, the hotel has a screening room for up to 30 guests where you can screen a variety of movies but also your own content, a great space for a different look and feel for a meeting. As well as Eneko restaurant, which by the way is amazing if you’ve not eaten here yet you need to book in when they re-open, the hotel has Indigo restaurant which overlooks the Lobby Bar and offers a fabulous concept of a dairy-free and gluten-free menu. Onto the most beautiful bedrooms that we’ve recently seen, the hotel fully refurbished their bedrooms and suites in 2019 and they certainly have the wow factor. As well as the wow factor, they also have a calm and relaxing feel as you enter the rooms that are all decorated in calming colours, stylish furniture, and all the mod-cons you need whilst also being sustainable – the hotel has focused on sustainability for a large number of years and it is very much still at the forefront of their minds and is incorporated throughout all their offerings.
