Well, it has certainly been a while since we’ve written about an event, who would have thought back in March when we last posted that we would not be sharing our experience of Eventprofslive events with you for a number of months. We also didn’t think that we would be celebrating our fifth birthday with a virtual celebration but we didn’t shy away from celebrating this milestone so we celebrated in the best way with our members, wine and cheese – all virtually of course!
We partnered with the amazing Moving Venue and Smart Live who have (dare we use the word…) pivoted their business, like us and everyone in the event industry, to virtual events. For example, Moving Venue is offering their delicious canapes that we usually sample in a glamorous venue in our own homes with canape making hampers, afternoon tea or picnic hampers to brighten up a team meeting or a chef’s cooking experience where can you cook a yummy three-course meal guided by one of their expert chefs online. Smart Live, as well as offering a live studio or bespoke microsites to host your conferences on, are also able to assist you with a variety of exciting and fun team building activities that don’t involve a Zoom quiz (so March 2020)!
To celebrate five years of Eventprofslive we opted for a wine and cheese tasting. It was so much fun from receiving the beautifully packaged hampers from Moving Venue with a variety of cheeses, crackers, chutneys, yummy accomplishments and of course the wine – three very nice bottles! As well as the wine and the cheese, we received a quiz sheet, the wine tasting sheets, instructions on the format of the evening and a lovely menu of the wines and cheeses designed as a birthday card. Smart Live and Moving Venue take care of all the logistics from ensuring all your guests receive their hampers, the Zoom link to join the evening and arranging the tasting. It was super easy for us which meant we were really able to enjoy the evening with our members.
Tom Gilbey delivered the wine tasting and he was fantastic – knowledgable, personable and light-hearted in his delivery method – exactly what we were looking for. Our members felt comfortable asking questions and we learned so much during the evening. The tasting lasted for approximately an hour and afterwards we were able to enjoy our wine and cheese as a group and have a good old catch up. We are busy in the background planning future events for when it is safe to do so and we can’t wait. In the meantime, we will be continuing with our monthly events that we hold for our members where we discuss the latest announcements, share best practice on what we are all working on, discuss upskilling ourselves during these times and also hear from guest speakers from venues and suppliers to understand how they are working during times.
