Inspiring Women in the Events Industry Panel Discussion at The Curtain (March 2019)

We’ve been going for almost four years now and whilst over the years we have recognised how valuable a panel would be to our members, we could never find the perfect topic that would engage everyone and ensure we delivered valuable content and insights from whom we deemed, inspiring people. With International Women’s Day earlier this month we thought what a better time to launch our panel series and last Monday we held our first educational event!

The topic was “Inspiring Women in the Events Industry”, the venue was the super cool The Curtain and the speakers were Annette Morgan, Senior Events Executive in the Major Events team at EY;  Holly Moore, Founder and Managing Director of Make Events and Chriscelle Capito, Head of Sales of The Curtain.  The turnout was amazing!  The tickets for our event were free to our members and sold via Eventbrite for non-members and had sold out within a few weeks of going on sale.  We were overwhelmed with the response!

The Curtain was our amazing host for the event and provided probably the BEST set-up for a panel discussion I have ever seen. We held the event in the Design Studio which fits up to 50 people comfortably and provides for a lovely informal setting with its own private bar and cloakroom. Prior to the panel start, guests met and mingled over bubbles and nibbles in the Hatch which is stunning. Split over two floors, the Hatch is a split-level space with booth seating, private bar and retractable roof! This space would be fab for a drinks reception.

You are spoilt for choice for meeting and events spaces, the largest space (the ballroom) can fit up to 150 for dinner and dancing and 350 standing, you also have a private screening room which can take up to 35 seated, a boardroom for up to 20 and many more. You can see a full list of all the meeting and events spaces here.

Who Run the World?! Girls…
